Prepress Technician / Production Artist

Location: On-site (Cleveland, OH)

AGC is growing—and we’re looking for a talented Prepress Technician/Production Artist to join our team!
Located in Cleveland, OH, AGC is a Design+ Print+ Mail firm serving nonprofits, private education, healthcare, religious and arts/culture organizations. We provide graphic design, commercial printing, and direct mail services that help mission-driven organizations communicate and thrive.

If you love solving technical challenges, prepping files for press, and ensuring flawless print quality, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a stable, fast-paced, creative environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and adjust customer-supplied files for print using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Perform preflight checks, color correction, and proofing to ensure accuracy and production readiness.
  • RIP and plot files for proofing and final output, ensuring correct color profiles and resolution.
  • Set up layouts and imposition for offset printing (multi-page and commercial work).
  • Work closely with our Production Manager, designers, and press/bindery teams to keep jobs moving smoothly.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for stamping dies, embossing dies, specialty bindery, die-cutting, and more.
  • Manage file organization, archiving, and version control.
  • Troubleshoot design and file issues quickly and effectively.
  • Assist with paper ordering and communicate production needs as jobs move through the workflow.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in prepress or commercial printing (offset experience preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Mac OS.
  • Experience with RIP/imposition software; FujiFilm XMF a plus.
  • Strong understanding of color management, resolution, bleeds, and print production standards.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Clear communicator and collaborative team player.
  • Diploma/degree in Graphic Design or Printing Technology is preferred but not required.

We’re looking for an Account Executive who can build strong client relationships while guiding projects from concept through print and mail. If you love supporting meaningful work, managing details, and collaborating across creative and production teams, this role is for you.

About the Role

The Account Executive serves as the primary link between clients and our internal teams—ensuring every project is understood, well-planned, executed with accuracy, and delivered on time. This role blends client relationship management with project leadership and is ideal for someone who enjoys service, communication, and organization.

What You’ll Do

Client Relationship Management

  • Build, nurture, and grow relationships with nonprofit and mission-driven clients.
  • Understand each client’s goals, brand, and communication needs.
  • Serve as the client’s internal advocate and main point of contact.
  • Lead client meetings, communications, status updates, and reviews.
  • Ask the right questions to clarify project objectives and ensure success.
  • Identify opportunities for new or expanded services.

Project Leadership

  • Manage projects from A–Z across design, proofing, production, print, and mailing.
  • Create clear internal instructions, timelines, and job tickets.
  • Maintain schedules, budgets, and approvals with accuracy.
  • Coordinate across design, prepress, production, and mail teams.
  • Monitor progress and proactively resolve challenges or delays.
  • Ensure projects stay within scope while meeting client expectations.

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Support proposal development, estimates, pricing, and scoping.
  • Provide client insights that help shape smarter project strategies.
  • Help improve internal workflows, tools, and communication processes.
  • Balance both client needs and internal capacity to ensure smooth operations.

What You Bring
