Postage rates change based on the size of the mailer. To keep costs down try mailing at the letter rate instead of the flat rate. Any mailing piece (whether a direct mail postcard, or within an envelope) that exceeds the 6-1/8 inches high OR 11-1/2 inches long will be considered a FLAT which is a higher postage rate. Anything that measures 6-1/8 x 11-1/2 or smaller can mail at the LETTER rate which is less expensive.

Any project that is stuffing into an envelope needs to have a ½ inch of clearance on the width, and generally ¼ inch of clearance on the height. For example an 5.5 x 8.5 booklet can insert into a 6 x 9 envelope. However, if the package also includes a #9 Remittance or #9 Reply Envelope measuring 3-7/8 x 8-7/8 the outgoing envelope specs change to 6 x 9.5 to accommodate the ½ inch clearance. This is true for all invitation packages as well. The ½ of clearance allows flexibility in production – we can machine insert with a ½ inch clearance or hand insert.

All images should be at least 300 dpi and converted to CMYK, grayscale or duotone. Most images used on the internet are only 72 dpi and will not print clearly. If you have any questions or would like us to review in advance please reach out. We're happy to help!

It's important to ensure you are including all graphics, photos, images, logos, and fonts when submitting your files. To package an InDesign file, follow these steps:

1. Open the InDesign document you want to package. Go to the “File” menu and choose “Package” or use the shortcut keys (Ctrl + Alt + P for Windows, Cmd + Opt + P for Mac).
2. Click the “Package” button on the popup window.
3. Select the location where you want the file to be packaged on your computer.
